Our Behavioral Health service offered at our Bloss site is offered in a state-of-the-art facility with a kid-friendly, family focused atmosphere. Our team of clinicians
conduct a thorough assessment and develop an individualized treatment plan for each child,
adolescent, or adult. Our team of providers are successful in treating simple to very complex conditions.
Our team of specially trained Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and support
staff have a reputation for helping children of all ages, from toddlers through late teens with various types of
mental health problems. Our team provides the most effective care for patients and family.
One of the unique aspects of our program is the ability to see children throughout their lifespan. We provide a range of
treatment from our youngest patients who show problems with attachment, eating, sleeping, and other behaviors, to our oldest patients who are young adults in their late teens or early 20’s. We routinely help families cope with problems such as:
- Anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa
- Disruptive behavior disorders
- Anxiety disorders
- Head trauma
- Attachment disorders and other disorders of infancy
- Mental retardation
- Bipolar disorder
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Childhood schizophrenia
- Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD)
- Cognitive delays and learning disorders
- Neurobehavioral syndromes associated with
- Cognitive disorders associated with epilepsy and immune chronic health concerns, such as diabetes
dysfunction disorders (lupus)
- Depression
We provide the most advanced treatment approaches, including new medications that can reduce or minimize
symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, autism, and psychosis. We use the latest approaches in
cognitive and behavioral therapy, which can help children and teens change destructive behaviors and thoughts.
We use proven family therapies which involve parents, siblings, and other loved ones, psychotherapy or “talk”
therapy, and behavior therapy for the treatment of persistently dysfunctional or disruptive behaviors.
Patients and their families are seen in one of our specialty clinics for:
- Eating Disorder Program: For children and teens with signs of anorexia or bulimia nervosa
- Preschool Behavior Problems Program: For children age 2 to 4 who are living with their families and exhibit
disruptive behavior, aggressiveness, self-abuse, and other severe behavior problems.
