Radiology Department

Our Radiology Department is a small, tight-knit bunch that works together like a well oiled machine. Each individual performs specialized tasks within the department that keeps the department running smooth. Each person is responsible for different aspects of the department, whether it’s patient care, performance improvement, report writing, or file room functions. Between the small handful of staff, we have numerous years of experience working in the field of radiology and there isn’t a problem too large or too small that we cannot handle. Each individual brings kind, compassionate care to our patients and provides the best service possible.
It all starts with Claudia . She is our reception/registration clerk. Claudia helps keep the department running smooth. Because of her experience with the department, she knows all the ins and outs of the medical insurance and programs that the facility offers. She is able to provide fast, accurate, professional service to our patients. She also is a great multi-tasker with the ability to answer the phones, schedule exams, and register patients all at the same time!
Lois is also a great asset to the department. Her job is a tech assistant which covers a multitude of tasks. She is able to help Claudia with registration and other front office tasks, transcribe reports, upkeep the file room, as well as assist the techs with patients and the paperwork that is involved with the exams. Lois is well known throughout the facility as well, so if there is something that needs to be done outside the department, she usually is sent to handle it.
Our mammography department is run by Annie. Although our department still uses the film/screen process, Annie continues to have patients return year after year to our department for their mammograms due to her compassionate, personal care she provides to her patients. She keeps up on all the mammography quality control and maintains the records to keep us in compliance with the state and federal guidelines. She also performs general radiography as well as helping with file room functions, scheduling patients, and answering phones.
Calinda is the department supervisor. She is also our ultrasound tech and does x-rays too. She also helps with front office functions and scheduling patients as well as keeping the department up to date with things happening around the facility. Calinda is a “working” supervisor and most of the time can be found scanning patients instead of in her office.
We do have a small handful of per diem techs. They help fill in when our full time techs are out sick or on vacation. They also help with weekend call. All are multi-functioning as well and help with front office and file room functions too.
